January 16, 2007 – Landmark Tax Settlement Case with the IRS
Advantage Tax Resolution reached a landmark settlement with the IRS. This case involved our client, David A., an executor of an estate who was informed he owed the IRS $371,000.00 resulting from his responsibility as an executor. After the ATR attorneys and enrolled agents reviewed a substantial amount of documentation regarding the estate, it was clear that the executor did not utilize any fund for his own purpose and that no liability should be burdened by the executor. After six (6) months of heated negotiation, David A was cleared of his liability and owed the IRS nothing.
February 27, 2007 – Tax Case Settlement in 30 days
Advantage Tax Resolution was able to meet with Phyllis J. regarding her tax liability with the IRS amount to well over $65,000.00. The IRS had been aggressively pursuing Phyllis. ATR attorneys and CPAs reviewed all of financial documentation surrounding this case and realized that mathematically, Phyllis could not have owed this liability. Within two weeks of intensive review and preparation, ATR was able to prove that this liability was issued in error.
March 31, 2007 – 97% Wage Levy Success Rate
Advantage Tax Resolution in the first quarter of 2007 had challenged ninety-four (94) wage levies issued by the IRS. Of the ninety-four (94) wage levies, ninety-two (92) were successfully released by the ATR attorney and enrolled agents. Wage levies are one of the most aggressive collection actions that the IRS can take. A wage levy can leave the taxpayer with 25% of net income. ATR prides itself on its ability to secure wage levy releases immediately.
